WORKSHOPS REPSONSIBLE PARENTSHIP
On 8th of February 2007, Nansen Dialogue Centre and Parents’ Club “For the Children of Vukovar” started the series of workshops on responsible parenting. Workshops were held on Thursdays, every second week at 6.00 pm in premises of Hotel Dunav in Vukovar, and the facilitator of these workshops was a psychologist Biljana Mrdović Varevac.

•Main goal of workshops was empowering parents’ capacities, as well as those of preschool teachers who live and work in a post-war community and strengthening of cooperation between parents and kindergartens and between parents and schools.
 
Realised workshops:
      •   Your competent child
      •   Ways to strengthen child’s self-esteem and self-respect
      •   Education for tolerance and respecting differences
      •   Aggressiveness and violence
      •   Assertiveness and pro-social behaviour
      •   Hyperactive child
      •   Families with one parent
      •   Loss and grief in children
      •   Jealousy in children
 
After nine workshops were realised, final tenth workshop took place on 8th of June 2007, were exchange of information took place as well as evaluation.
