{"id":4406,"date":"2023-09-28T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-28T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ndcosijek.hr\/?p=4406"},"modified":"2025-03-05T11:40:54","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T10:40:54","slug":"jewish-culture-month-in-osijek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ndcosijek.hr\/en\/jewish-culture-month-in-osijek\/","title":{"rendered":"Jewish Culture Month in Osijek"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>In cooperation with the Jewish municipality in Osijek<\/strong>, we have commemorated the Jewish Culture Month by organizing the workshop <strong>\u201cGraphite against hate speech\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was implemented on <strong>September 26th<\/strong>, and it included <strong>the students from Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 school and Vukovar Gymnasium<\/strong>. In addition, the event was attended by the two Polish students, Alicja Guzowske i Maja B\u0142achnio, and their teachers. The students were invited to Osijek by the Jewish Municipality, to present their movie \u201cThe road to Shoa\u201d. The movie resonated with the students from Croatia, and they had a lot of questions regarding it.<\/p>\n<p>The students got together in Osijek and though of two slogans <strong>\u201cBe a mate, stop the hate\u201d <\/strong>and <strong>\u201c\u0160iri pozitivu, zaboravi negative (Eng. Spread positivity, forget negativity)\u201d<\/strong>. Those messages have been transformed into graphite\u2019s through students\u2019 art skills and are being displayed at the schools.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 100px auto; display: block; width: 70%; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ndcosijek.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/UNITED-ICM-Osijek.jpg\" \/>\n<div style=\"margin: 0 0 80px 0;\">\n<p><strong>The project UNITED<\/strong> is implemented by the Nansen Dialogue Centre (Croatia) in partnership with the Technical school and Natural Sciences School Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Osijek (Croatia), Glocal Factory (Italy), IIS &#8220;Ferraris Fermi&#8221; (Italy), Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor (Slovenia) and WCIES (Poland) and <strong>is funded by the European Union through the CERV program.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"display:block; width:60%; margin:50px auto;\">\n<p style=\"text-align:center!important; color:#777; margin:80px 0;\"><strong><i>The project UNITED is Funded by the European Union.<\/i><\/strong><br \/>\nViews and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or EACEA.
